Rising Above Adversity: My Story of Resilience

A Traumatic Brain Injury changed my life forever — but not in the way you might think. It became the catalyst for everything I've built since.

Throughout my journey, I've faced numerous challenges that would have deterred many. A Traumatic Brain Injury from a job-related fall became a defining moment in my life. But rather than letting it define me by what I lost, I chose to let it define me by what I gained — clarity, purpose, and an unshakable determination to help other women find their voices.

The road to recovery was long and winding. There were days when getting out of bed felt like climbing a mountain. But in those quiet, difficult moments, I discovered something profound: the power of community. The women who rallied around me during my darkest hours showed me what true sisterhood looks like.

That experience planted a seed. I realized that every woman carries invisible battles, and too often, we fight them alone. What if there was a space — a sacred, judgment-free space — where women could come together, share their struggles, and find strength in each other's stories?

This is why I founded The Voice of Women, LLC and the Keeper Of The Fire Sisterhood Circle. Not from a place of having it all figured out, but from a place of knowing how transformative it is when someone simply says, "I hear you. I see you. You are not alone."

To every woman reading this: your story matters. Your struggles are not signs of weakness — they are proof of your strength. And when you're ready to share, we're here to listen.

Tamara, I feel the same way! This sisterhood has been a lifeline for me. We should connect at the next gathering.
